18th October 2001 saw the first registration of my adepteo.co.uk domain name.  I was looking for a name that had some meaning, began with an A to be at the front of alphabetic listings and was available as a domain name.  The last part was a lot easier in 2001 than it is now, but it was still difficult then.

I latched onto ADEPTIO which is the latin word meaning "The ability to do things" however the domain adeptio.com had been taken and so I ended up with the ADEPTEO version.

The following day ADEPTEO.COM was registered (I don't recall the reason why) and a year later I decided to register ADEPTEO.NET as well.
